Context
Rewatch the numbered trailers
Both released trailers are Rockstar-owned uploads. Rewatching them alongside the Extended Look is the fastest way to see how far the marketing has moved since December 2023.
Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2
Rockstar's second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, captured on PlayStation 5. It expands the Jason and Lucia partnership and shows far more of the state of Leonida, from Vice City nightlife to the Keys and inland regions.
Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1
The reveal trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, set to Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road." It introduced modern-day Vice City, the wider state of Leonida, and the two leads later named as Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

FAQ
GTA 6 Extended Look questions
- Did the GTA 6 Extended Look already air?
- Yes. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premiered Thursday, August 27, 2026 - Netflix first at 3 p.m. ET, then the same video free on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 p.m. ET. It is no longer a watch-plan question; it is a published video you can rewatch on either platform.
- How long is the GTA 6 Extended Look?
- 24 minutes and 12 seconds, confirmed directly from Rockstar's YouTube scrubber and matched by Netflix's populated listing. That settles the earlier 20-versus-30-minute rumor debate.
- Was the Extended Look the same thing as Trailer 3?
- No. Rockstar published it as "An Extended Look" and the video's own outro card does not use a Trailer 3 label. Any further numbered trailer remains a separate, still-unannounced piece of marketing.
- What did the GTA 6 Extended Look actually confirm?
- A live protagonist switch between Jason and Lucia, a five-notch wanted/pressure meter, a phone home screen, a radial weapon wheel, and dynamic weather effects during a storm sequence. It also showed a continuous drive connecting Vice City to the Leonida Keys across a causeway.
- Did the Extended Look confirm a PC release date?
- No. The presentation ran entirely on console footage with no PC date, specs, or performance-mode information anywhere in the video or its outro card.
- Did the leaked CyberLeek footage match the official Extended Look?
- Partially. The presentation contradicted the leaked six-star wanted claim (the official meter shows five notches) and did not show a basketball hoop, Focus stat, or Zombix item that leak week alleged. It also did not revisit the leaked Lucia prologue material, which remains unofficial either way.
- Is there another GTA 6 trailer coming before launch?
- Rockstar's outro card promises more before November 19 without naming a format or date. Treat any specific Trailer 3 date circulating online as speculation until Rockstar publishes one directly.
