Description

The Hammer is a compact, brutal melee weapon that trades reach for raw stopping power. In Leonida's criminal ecosystem, a hammer is the tool of choice for enforcers who want to send a message without making noise. It's also a practical break-in tool - smashing padlocks, car windows, and display cases during smash-and-grab jobs across Vice City.

Design

A standard claw hammer with a fiberglass handle and forged steel head. The industrial design is simple and utilitarian, with a rubber-coated grip for one-handed use. No flashy variants - this is a working tool turned weapon.

Performance

The hammer hits extremely hard for its size, delivering the highest per-hit damage among standard melee weapons. However, its short reach means you need to be right on top of your target. Swings are moderately fast with a slight wind-up that can leave you open if you miss.

Customization

N/A - a hardware store staple with no cosmetic options.

Locations

Available at hardware stores like the Leonida Home Depot equivalents, construction sites in Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn, and Ammu-Nation's melee section for a small markup.

Trivia

  • The hammer is new to the mainline GTA weapon roster, previously appearing only in modded versions of GTA V.
  • It can reportedly be used to smash open certain locked containers and display cases during robberies.
  • The hammer's one-handed grip allows faster movement speed compared to two-handed melee weapons like the bat.
  • Construction and maintenance NPCs throughout Leonida can be seen carrying hammers during work hours.
