Description

The Klose K17 is the Swiss Army knife of Leonida's handgun market - a polymer-framed striker-fired pistol that can switch between semi-automatic precision and full-auto chaos with the flip of a selector. Modeled after the ubiquitous Glock series, the K17 is everywhere in Vice City: in the hands of gang members, tucked into the waistbands of off-duty cops, and rattling through magazines in Lucia's capable grip. Its full-auto capability sets it apart from every other pistol in GTA VI, turning what looks like a standard sidearm into a pocket SMG that can empty 18 rounds in under two seconds. Lucia's personalized Ultimate Edition variant features a custom cerakote finish in Vice City teal.

Design

The K17 features the unmistakable blocky Glock profile - a squared-off slide, polymer lower frame, and that distinctive trigger safety blade visible on the in-game model. The standard version comes in matte black, while Lucia's Ultimate Edition variant sports a striking teal-and-silver colorway with her initials laser-etched on the slide. When the full-auto conversion is equipped, a slightly extended selector switch becomes visible on the frame, and the fire rate increase is accompanied by a noticeably more aggressive muzzle flash effect.

Performance

In semi-auto mode, the K17 performs like a reliable mid-tier pistol - good accuracy, moderate damage, and a fast enough fire rate to handle most early encounters. Switch to full-auto, however, and the K17 becomes a completely different animal: it dumps its magazine in a blistering spray that shreds targets at close range but burns through ammo at an alarming rate. Recoil in full-auto is significant, pulling the muzzle up and right, making burst control essential for anything beyond point-blank range.

Customization

The K17 supports a suppressor for stealth kills, an extended 36-round magazine that's practically mandatory for full-auto use, and a micro red-dot optic that improves target acquisition. The full-auto conversion kit is the star attachment - likely unlocked through mid-story progression or a dedicated Ammu-Nation upgrade path. Various slide and frame color options let players customize their K17's look.

Locations

The standard K17 is available at Ammu-Nation locations throughout Vice City from the early game. Lucia's personalized variant ships with the Ultimate Edition. The full-auto conversion kit is expected to unlock at specialized weapon workshops or through story progression.

Trivia

  • The Klose K17 is one of only two weapons in GTA VI confirmed to have a fire-mode selector switch.
  • The name 'Klose' parodies Glock by using another short, Germanic-sounding surname.
  • 'K17' likely references the Glock 17, the original and most iconic model in the Glock lineup.
  • Lucia's K17 variant is the second character-exclusive weapon alongside Jason's Girardi ES9.
  • Full-auto Glocks (Glock 18) are extremely rare in real life, restricted almost entirely to military and law enforcement.
  • The K17 has the fastest fire rate of any pistol in GTA VI when the auto-conversion is equipped.
